How do I apply to rent an apartment?
All tenants have to complete an application form before a tenancy agreement is raised.
You can either complete an application form on or offline. Upon receipt of your application fee & deposit we simply send you / your guarantor an email with a link through to a secure site that has a blank application form waiting for you to complete in your own time. The apartment is not guaranteed until this has been completed.
How much is the application fee?
We have a standard charge of £100 for a single applicant or £150 for a joint application. All prices are exclusive of vat.
How can I pay the application fee?
We accept cash, debit & all major credit cards. Unfortunately we cannot accept personal cheques.
Will I need a Guarantor?
All our students who are UK residents will require a guarantor to enable your application to be processed.
I'm a International student, will I need a Guarantor?
As an International student you will be required to pay the first and final months rent on the day of your arrival and will not require a Guarantor.
What documentation will I need?
You will need to have with you on your arrival day your Tenancy Agreement signed by Guarantor(s) (if applicable), Photographic ID (Passport, UK Driving Licence or EU ID Card) & a copy of your acceptance letter to University.
How much does the bond or deposit cost?
The bond is equivalent to a minimum of 1 month rent and not exceeding 3 months.
What happens to my deposit?
Every deposit / bond is paid into the Deposit Protection Service (DPS) scheme on commencement of the Tenancy Agreement where it will be held for the duration of your stay offering all of our tenants peace of mind.

When do I get my deposit returned?
Subject to your apartment been handed back in exactly the same condition as it was when first occupied, (with exception to fair wear and tear) we then authorise the DPS to return your deposit.
What is the rental term?
12 months (52 weeks) with flexible start dates anytime between 01st June & 30th September
How do you collect my rent?
We set up a monthly direct debit from one account or alternatively you can pay all your rent in advance.
What about bills?
The only additional costs are for utilities, electric & water only. All our properties are individually metered so you will only pay for what you use. Our on site concierge team can provide meter readings at any time.
Do you have broadband?
Yes, broadband is provided by Ask4, a local specialist that offers highly competitive packages starting at £15 per month for a 4MB service with unlimited downloads. No contracts are required as this is a 'Pay as you go' service.

Can I get Sky in my apartment?
As well as the communal terrestrial television aerial on the roof we also have a communal satellite dish, all you need is your digibox and a Sky card.
Do you allow pets?
Unfortunately we operate a very strict no pets policy, so any pets, furry or otherwise will have to find alternative arrangements.
What is your smoking policy?
Smoking anywhere within the building including your apartment is strictly prohibited.
Is parking available for me or my visitors?
Monthly parking permits are available at both The Student Tower and The Student Village. *A paystation system is installed for visiting guests.
