The Sheffield Student Village is exceptionally close to both The University of Sheffield & Sheffield Hallam University, not forgetting of course that its only stumbling distance from the city's social hot spots including All Bar One, Ha! Ha! Bar & the ever popular Leopold Square home to a selection of wine bars & restaurants. As well as this West Street & Division Street are home to some of the city's trendy Sheffield student venues often hosting live music events, where bands such as Arctic Monkey's, Pulp, Reverend & the Makers and Moloko started their careers. Whilst all of these facilities are on your doorstep, the unique location still provides peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle of the city.
We are sat directly in the heart of the city only a stones throw away from the contemporary Winter Gardens and Peace Gardens, featuring a modern arrangement of lighting and water fountains to be enjoyed all year round, and now, the latest addition to the City..... our very own 'Sheffield's Eye' which is visible from many of the city view apartments.
There are fewer cities in the UK which host such a diverse range of competitive and spectator sports. The world famous Ponds Forge has been privileged to host over 300 national events including the televised World Cup Diving Grand Prix & the National Judo Championships name a few. Some of the other major sporting venues include Don Valley Stadium, The English Institute of Sport, Sheffield Arena, Ice Sheffield and The Crucible Theatre which is home to the World Snooker Championships, not forgetting of course our two Sheffield Championship Football Clubs, Wednesday & United!!
If you're a shopaholic great news you'll be able to get your daily fix at a huge range of high street, boutique & specialist stores in the Sheffield city centre. Or if your feeling a bit more adventurous why not take a ride on the Sheffield Supertram to Meadowhall, which boasts over 280 retail outlets covering 1.5 million square feet of space.
